049 – Preparing for the Hunt

This week Larry is coming to us from the canopy of a giant oak tree out on the land where he spent some of his childhood years.  The giant limbs of the tree bring back memories of a simpler time, and the many days spent daydreaming of the hunts he might one day have.  Now, this is a place where Larry goes to think on, and plan for, his upcoming hunting trips.  What things should you be considering if you have an upcoming hunt?  Tune in now as Larry walks you through some of his planning stages to make sure he is prepared for hunting season.

Macy Ledbetter with Spring Creek Outdoors joins Ken and John on this weeks episode to discuss early prep for the next deer season.  Despite the fact that deer season just now ended doesn’t mean that its time to take a break. In fact, it is time to get back out there and start making the preparations to ensure that your upcoming season is even more successful than the last.  In addition to this, Macy also talks about a very important conservation project that he is working on along with Texas Wildlife Association to repopulate white tail deer on a two million acre section of land in south Texas that was devastated recently and lost its entire deer population.

019 – Biggest TX Mule Deer with Greg Simons

Larry sits down with Greg Simons as he gets a Mule Deer scored for the Texas Big Game Awards. Greg shot this deer in west Texas, and it would go on to be the biggest non-typical Mule Deer taken in the state of Texas!
